This Letter of Agreement is established to provide clear expectations and structure for the operation of the WCSD public special education program in the Warren State Hospital contracting with IU5 for services consistent with its obligations under (Section) ยง1306 (c)(1). Executive Summary - myON is an award-winning personalized literacy environment that incorporates: States of the art learning platform, enhanced digital reading content, Lexile Framework, literacy tools, & embedded metrics to monitor activity and growth. Capstone books are a core of myON - with more than 25,000 titles. myON also features reading supports - audio, highlighting, a zoom feature and embedded dictionary.
myON supports STEM, beginning with the youngest learner enjoying his or her first digital book and continues to expand STEM alignments for upper grades.
Warren County School District is piloting myON as part of the K-12 Reading Focus Group initiative and MTSS interventions at Eisenhower Elementary (K-5) and Beaty Warren Middle School (grades 6-8). Students have access to online literacy environment from any mobile device, computer and/or tablet in the school, home and community setting. Data will be presented to the WCSD Board of Education in January 2017 summarizing the Reading Focus Groups' recommendation on K-12 reading curriculum and supplemental materials.
