Executive Summary

The Beacon Light Custer City Agreement provides educational services outside of the home district for special education students.  The FERPA agreement is included in the attachment. 

 

There is an increase in the daily tuition costs for 2018-2019 as compared to the 2017-2018 school year: Special Education $160/day (increase of $26.66/day); Life Skills $191/day (increase of $31.79/day); and Autism classroom $258.50/day (increase of $43.05/day).

Executive Summary

The KIN Community Fund has supported 78 children and their families’ members during the period of August 14, 2018 through November 30, 2018.  Of the 78 recipients, 58 were between the age of two years through 14, 20 were ≥ 15 years old, and 47% are identified as receiving McKinney-Vento services to support Youth Experiencing Homelessness.  As of November 30, 2018 actual expenditures requested for reimbursement total $7,135.95.  

 

As we approach the 2018 holiday season, WCSD has organized support through the KIN Fund Angel Tree for 54 students.  The school community has embraced a commitment to support the KIN Fund Angel Tree with 34 employees committing to support a child and/or purchase an item.  In addition, 21 students will be receiving support from community organizations such as the Methodist Church (Mrs. Ruth Nelson) and other donors.  

 

The KIN Fund has received approximately $5,607.21 in donations thus far this school year via shared efforts of Libonati Fund and school fundraisers.
