Executive Summary

The Office of Pupil Services has developed an awareness video as a tool to communicate information relevant to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.  The long-term goal is to create a selection of awareness videos so viewers can learn about important matters related to special education and student services. 

 

The first segment provides an overview of IDEA - Extracurricular & Athletics.  Viewers learn about district staffs' responsibilities in implementation of an IEP during extracurricular and/or athletic events.  Essential components of an IEP are highlighted to promote learning and awareness.  The Office of Pupil Service will continue to develop and integrate community resource videos as a delivery mechanism to promote the learning experiences for parents and members of our community.
