That the Board of School Directors approve a new position as Information Management Specialist.

The 2008/2009 school year assignment for these two (2) positions will be at Warren Area Elementary Center.

4. Informational Items

In the past 2 years it has become a concern that money for the tutoring program has been expended too early in the school year. After discussion with legal counsel it has been determined that it is not binding that we pay non-district certificated teachers $24.50 per hour. Consequently, this year the tutoring program will pay $18.00 per hour to non-district certificated teachers. Additionally, we have permission from PDE to have tutoring occur at the elementary level during the school day. We are going to look at reducing the amount of incentive dollars, the availability of snacks, and reducing paid planning time as other routes to make sure that our tutoring dollars can fund student support well into the month of April.

The next meeting of the Personnel/Athletics & Co-Curricular Activities Committee will be held August 26, 2008, following the Finance Committee at the Warren County Career Center.
