Recommended Action :
That the Board of School Directors approves the Statement of Assurance as part of the Special Education "Bridge" Report for the Comprehensive Plan to be submitted no later than May 31, 2012.

The District is currently involved in the Comprehensive Planning Process. The updated plan is due in November of 2012. As a result of the state realigning the timeline for Comprehensive Planning, part of the Special Education portion of the plan expires prior to the November due date. The state is asking Districts to review and sign the assurance page that is attached so that we are in compliance with Chapter 14. The Statement of Assurance is attached for your approval.

That the Board of School Directors adopts the proposed final budget for the 2012-2013 fiscal year as presented; authorizes the proposed final budget to be made available for public inspection at each school within the District, at Central Office, and on the District's website; and authorizes the publication of the Board's intent to adopt the final budget at least 10 days prior to the adoption of the final budget.

The following tax structure and resource allocation is presented for your consideration in support of the Proposed Final Budget for the 2012-13 school year with proposed expenditures of $64,987,875.00.
1. A tax rate of 50.9658 Mills ($5.09658 per hundred dollars)of assessed valuation on all real estate in the District.
2. Local Enabling Taxes under ACT 511:
A. A 1/2 of 1% Wage and Income Tax
B. A 1% Real Estate Transfer Tax
C. Local Services Tax of $5.00.

That the Board of School Directors schedules and authorizes the Board Secretary to advertise a special meeting for Thursday, June 28, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. to approve the final budget and any other items that may come before the Board.
