Recommended Action :
That the Board of School Directors, in accordance with Section 780 of the School Code, directs the administration to advertise a public hearing regarding the closure of the middle school portion (grades 6 through 8) of the Youngsville Middle/High School due to factors including declining enrollment and budgetary constraints; with the impacted Youngsville students to be assigned to the Youngsville Elementary School to create the Youngsville Elementary/Middle School. The hearing shall be held on February 17, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at Central Office and shall be advertised by the Board Secretary in the Warren Times Observer at least 15 days prior to the date of the hearing.
